My son and I have Ehlors Danlos Syndrome. He has a lot of joint instability in his ankles and I searched high and low for a corrective shoe that would support his weak arches and unstable ankles. These were one of the two options I looked into and I'm glad I purchased them. My order was prime eligible, so it was MORE expensive (second pair used standard shipping and is taking a while to arrive) but it shipped quickly and only had a minor problem with delivery.The sizing chart was and continues to be confusing but that's on US sizing.The shoes are hefty, feel very sturdy, and fit well. There was no strong odor and he wore them immediately to physical therapy. They noticed a change in his posture and balance almost immediately.Since then he's enjoyed wearing them to school and appointments. We live in a desert, so they need frequent cleaning but are holding up very well so far.I'd recommend taking the time to measure your child's foot and being absolutely sure what size to order, but these were a real game changer! Note he can focus on strengthening joints without worry about rolling his ankles.

These shoes are really well made. Double stitching throughout and if that's not enough the tongue of the shoes is stitched to one of the sides making it so it cannot slide down into the shoe. The support was a lot for my daughter at first, so we had to gradually increase the amount of time she wears the shoes. She pronates and has flat feet. These shoes have helped a lot.
